Gorgeous Day!!

It really is a gorgeous sunny day today! Although it was very cold for the school run this morning by the time I met a friend and her toddler at 10am for coffee (and cake!) the frost was gone and the sun was shining. Beautiful!

Sorry I have been AWOL for a while-don't know where the days go. It was my birthday last week, only another 2 birthdays until the BIG 40! Eek! We had a family tea at my Sister in Laws the day before my birthday which was lovely, but as my actual birthday was on the Monday it passed by relatively uneventful with Hubby at work, Hannah at school and me in the shop. Although Dave had arranged for our local radio to mention my birthday that morning- my hubby always manages to think of something different and he did cook a special dinner in the evening.

There is lots going on here at the moment-after thinking about something and talking about it for the last couple of years we have finally made the decision to give it a go, well you can't live life regretting not doing something you've always wanted to, can you? Can't say anything more at this stage but lets say I'm very excited!

Anyways, got to get another load of washing out on the line whilst this sun is out!
Have a great day!

Birthday Card

Made this card last week for a customer for his wife's birthday. The dress is a rubber stamp (not sure of make-will have to check) which has been stamped once onto white card and then again onto the patterned orangey red paper, cut out and paper pieced over the image on the white card. The base card is red cardstock and the background is black cardstock, layered up with more pp. I used a corner punch on the white card and then added some ribbon, flowers and brad and a peel off greeting to finish.

Hope you are having a great weekend....I'm soo looking forward to X Factor tonight. I'm really getting into this series and Hannah loves it so we all watch it together as a family which is lovely.

Ally Pally!

I had a fantastic time at the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show at Ally Pally last weekend. I set off early on the 7.55am train up to London and was ready for some serious stash shopping!! Hubby had given me some birthday money to spend, even though it isn't my birthday until next week and I had been saving a little bit each week since I booked my tickets back in August.

This is a picccy of all the goodies I got. I mainly wanted to get more scrapbooking stash and was pleased with the alphas, rub ons and 12 x 12 papers that I got. I also got some a Bazzil In Stitchez template which I'm looking forward to having a play with.

It was a great day and I'm already looking forward to the April Show!
